…Please let me introduce myself, my name is Birgit Kolb and I am the project manager of the European Youth Award (EYA). This unique European-wide contest selects and promotes Europe's best practice in e-content. It targets all creative minds, developers, digital entrepreneurs under 30 who use internet and mobile technologies to change the world to the better.
Innovative projects can be submitted in one of the following categories: Fight Poverty, Hunger and Disease, Education for All, Power 2 Women, Create Your Culture, Go Green, Pursue Truth.
At the moment the jury process is going on. 37 projects from all over Europe have entered the second round so far. The winners will be invited to a three-day-long Festival in Graz from 28th-30th of November. There they will present their projects, further develop them and work together with social entrepreneurs, ICT experts, young engaged people,… on innovative ideas for a better future. They will become a part of a vibrant, lively network to support and promote them.
At this time, we would like to encourage young and engaged people all over Europe to take part at the EYA Festival and/or inform themselves about the creative social digital projects created this year.
As this might be interesting for the members of your organization, I would like to invite you to establish a network-partnership to keep them informed about the European Youth Award and support each other.
