Dear partner,

Your students are kindly invited to study at theIUT‘A’ of Lille(Institut Universitaire de Technologie) under Erasmusprogramme during theWinter Semester of the academic year 2012-2013. In order to facilitate their registration and tobestprepare their stay, we would like to draw your attention to our on line application procedure for the Incoming Erasmus students.

Please advise your students to read theon line applicationinformation carefully and to send us all the required documents on time.You will find attached our new contact and organisation details.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application deadline: 1st  June

Semester dates: 1st September– 15thJanuary

BEFORE ARRIVAL

  1. E-Nomination: students must be nominated by their home institution. Please send thenamesandemail addressesof your nominated students at iut-ri@univ-lille1.fr.
  2. Confirmation of the nomination: we will confirmthe reception of your message.
  3. Student application: students must complete theonline application formon the website:

After completing theApplication form, they have toprintit out,signit, have itsignedandstamped by you, andsendit to us together with theAccommodation form(to be downloaded during the application process)and the following documents:

  • Learning agreement

All the lectures are in French except for theBusiness departmentwhich offerscourses in English(see attached file). Students are asked to make a provisional choice of courses from our website (www.iut-univ.lille1.fr) and the final changes will be made with their academic coordinator upon arrival.

  • Transcript of Records
  • CV or résuméincluding the students’ personal data.
  • Covering letter

Students wishing to carry out a project or final thesis should let us know about their interests in order to find them a supervisor.

UPON ARRIVAL 

1.     Requireddocuments :
·      4 passport photos (2 for registration and 2 for accommodation)

1      European Health Insurance Card

2.     AFrench intensive course forintermediaryandadvancedlevels will take place on the first week after the arrival of all the Erasmus students. There is no official course forbeginners,but there may be one if there are enough demanding students.  It will be followed by anextensive courseof 2 hours per week lasting until the end of the semester. The final exam is worth2 ECTS.

! Pay attention! The French course will take place in the building of the IUT andnotat the „Maison des langues“

3.      Accommodation: all students will have a room in one of the campus residences. The rent is205€per month and the deposit of about180 €will be refunded at the end of their stay.

As soon as we receive your students‘ complete files, we shall contact them personally for further information concerning accommodation, learning programme and campus life.
