S sodelavci iz Oddelka za kemijo Univerze v Var\u0161avi, laboratorija Advanced Light Source, Berkeley Labs, Kalifornija in Oddelka za kemijo Univerze v Aberdeenu je opisala ve\u010dnivojske vija\u010dne nano-strukture, ki jih tvorijo molekule z zrcalno simetrijo. Za molekule z zrcalno simetrijo je presenetljiva tvorba \u017ee najpreprostej\u0161e vija\u010dne strukture. Tvorba vija\u010dnih struktur, ki so kombinacija vija\u010denja na nivoju nekaj plasti molekul, na kar je nalo\u017eeno \u0161e vija\u010denje vija\u010dnice, na vse skupaj pa \u0161e vija\u010denje plasti, pa je sicer veljala kot teoreti\u010dno mo\u017ena, a je sedaj kemikom prvi\u010d uspelo sintetizirati molekule s tak\u0161nimi lastnostmi. Materiale so sintetizirali v Aberdeenu, meritve so se izvajale v Berkeleyu in Var\u0161avi, teoreti\u010dno obravnavo pa je izvedla prof.
