\tSoleMOVE – University of Lapland Online Application System for International Mobility<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tStep 1: <\/strong>Exchange Student Nomination by the Partner University \/ Applicant's Home University<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tWe request that nomination of incoming students are submitted by email to international.relations@ulapland.fi<\/a>by the international coordinator of Partner University \/ Applicant’s Home University.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tDeadline for nominations for Autumn Semester 2012 and Full Year Admission 2012-2013 is April 30, 2012 and for Spring Semester 2013 is September 30, 2012.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPartner universities are welcome to nominate students also after the deadlines, but please be aware that it may not be possible to offer housing assistance to students who are nominated and\/or applying late.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPlease inform us for each of your students<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tInternational Office will review the nominations and send e-mail to these students with detailed application instructions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tStep 2: <\/strong>Applicant filling in the Online Application<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tApplicant should fill in the online application on SoleMove – system by using the user name and password received by email from SoleMove system (after the nomination from home university). The email includes also the Guidebook for SoleMove. Application must be sent through the SoleMove system only with the required attachments, no hard copies must be sent. Applicants can keep track of their application status online in the system but will also receive e-mails when the admission decision is made.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tStep 3: <\/strong>Admission Process at the University of Lapland<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tFaculty International Coordinators will review the applications after the deadline and the exchange admission decision will be made by June 15th, 2012\/November 15th 2012. Applicant receives admission decision through SoleMove system. Applicant will receive a Welcoming Package with Admission Letter by email, however some documents (Learning Agreement, Guidebook etc) will be sent by post.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tOrientation Programme: September 3 – September 7, 2012 (recommended arrival day September 1-2, 2012)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tSemester: August 1 – December 31<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPlease note that the actual teaching period during the autumn semester is August 29, 2012 – December 19, 2012.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tSpring semester 2013:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tOrientation Programme: January 8 – January 11, 2013 (recommended arrival day January 7, 2013)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tSemester: January 2 – July 31<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPlease note that the actual teaching period during the spring semester is January 9, 2013 – May 31, 2013.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tExaminations:<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tAre arranged throughout the year, usually at the end of the course. There are no fixed examination periods.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tTranscript of records:<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tAre given directly to the student in the end of their exchange period if all courses are marked on the transcript. If not, document will be sent by end of January\/mid June to the students or to the University.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tAccommodation:<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tOff-campus accommodation is provided by DAS Housing. The monthly rent varies from EUR 120-362 \/ person, depending on the size, condition, furniture etc. of the room.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
